Colorado Concerts was a difficult brand to create. Part of the struggle was that there are so many companies with Colorado in them. Creating a powerful brand that utilizes the colorado colors and state flag elements and stands out among all the other red and yellow logos containing the letter C takes quite a bit of thought... And a bit of trial and error.
I spent quite a bit of time working with fonts that could stand on their own next to the traditional Colorado flag. I wanted something that felt strong and modern, yet open and inviting. The C in the font had to be close to the C on the flag to incorporate into the logo, but different enough to not be solely identified with it.
The result is modern and powerful. The individual elements can be used independently or as a group, and the logo is easily recognizable as being its own brand without feeling tied too closely to the brand of the state itself.
